BIO

I began to sing at an early age and went on to sing in the church choir, and as a soloist, as well as musical theater in school, followed by fronting a few local rock bands before getting sidetracked with studies and work. Music was always in my blood and I became a DJ for a while as a creative and musical outlet. Yet, the burning desire to write and sing, coupled with constant pressure from my mom to pick back up my music, for which I will forever be grateful, led me to finally get back into the studio to work on my original music. While trying to record vocals I found that I had developed a debilitating recording phobia. After working with a series of vocal coaches and performance trainers, I finally found the cure after working with a hypnotist and I’ve never looked back.

From my earliest memories, I’ve always had a love for classic soul music, jazz, and R&B. As we moved frequently during my childhood I was also exposed to a lot of classic rock and country, and after spending a few years in London I got into EDM as well as power pop.

In creating my first full studio album Unlikely Troubadour, I’ve tried to pull from all of my musical influences, and the record reads like a pop radio playlist, with a musical arc blurring the lines between the genres of classic rock, dance, hip-hop and even country, enhanced by some electronic elements.

Backed by an amazing band of skilled musicians, I wrote, sang, and produced this record myself because I had a clear vision of exactly what I wanted to say and how I wanted to execute it, and I look forward to hitting the road in support of my album and sharing it with a lot of new friends along the way!
